Abstract:
The present invention relates to a device for diagnosing and method for diagnosing the deterioration state of a cable, wherein the deterioration state can be diagnosed in real time by detecting a voltage applied to the cable and a leakage current, and calculating leakage resistance and capacitance values for each section of the cable. For example, a method for diagnosing the deterioration state of a cable is disclosed, the method being characterized by including: a detection step for detecting a voltage applied to the cable and a leakage current; a calculation step for substituting the voltage and the leakage current detected in the detection step into a deterioration diagnosis algorithm to calculate the leakage resistance and capacitance of each section of the cable; and a storage determination step for storing for each section in real time, the values calculated in the calculation step, and for determining that a section has which has a value outside a reference range has deteriorated when a value calculated for each section is outside of a reference range.
