Title:
DEVICE FOR DISCONNECTING POWER FUSE WHEN CONTROL RECTIFIER ELEMENT OF HEATING APPARATUS BREAKS DOWN
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2010/024518
Kind Code:
A2
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a device for disconnecting a power fuse when the control rectifier element of a heating apparatus breaks down. The device continuously monitors the operating state of the control rectifier elements such as an SCR or a TRIAC, used in a heating apparatus such as an electric heating mat or an electric hot pack, and disconnects the power fuse when the control rectifier element operates abnormally due to a malfunction, so a heater for a heat wire can be prevented from continuously generating heat. The device checks whether or not a gate trigger voltage for turning on the control rectifier element is supplied to a gate line and whether or not the heater for a heat wire generates heat in response to the supply of the gate trigger voltage, and disconnects the power fuse when the heater for a heat wire generates heat even in a state that the gate trigger voltage is not supplied. Therefore, it can prevent in advance a fire caused by the operation of the heater regardless of a temperature control signal when the control rectifier element used in a heating apparatus breaks down.
