Abstract:
The present invention relates to a device for disinfecting a handrail of an escalator. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a device for disinfecting a handrail of an escalator, adapted so as to be able to disinfect the handrail exactly at a necessary position and time without wasting a disinfectant solution, automatically display a replacement time when the time to replace the disinfectant solution arrives, and implement combined disinfection in consideration of the number of passengers on the escalator. When the present invention is applied, there are the advantages of being hygienic because the disinfectant may be uniformly sprayed over the entire handrail, being very economical because the disinfectant may be uniformly applied over the entire handrail by means of a disinfectant applying part even in case of periodic spraying instead of continuous spraying, the arrival of the replacement time may be displayed exactly when the replacement time arrives by recording the number of sprayings, and even ultraviolet ray disinfection may be operated when there are many passengers, so as to effectively reduce the degree of contamination.
