Abstract:
[Problem] To switch the forward and backward directions of a vehicle according to the traveling direction of the vehicle and display the traveling direction to pedestrians or other vehicles around the vehicle. [Solution] Light units 3 are provided in a front portion and a rear portion of a vehicle, and the light unit 3 facing in the traveling direction of the vehicle is referred to as a front-side light unit, while the other light unit 3 is referred to as a rear-side light unit. By performing a control by means of a vehicle ECU4 to turn on a headlight 11 of the front-side light unit and turn off a headlight 11 of the rear-side light unit, a traveling direction sign of a vehicle 2 can be flexibly switched according to the traveling direction and displayed toward the surroundings of the vehicle.
