Abstract:
Afterimages of an image to be moved which is moved at high speed are reduced even if a display means with slow response characteristics is used. A drawing device which continuously draws an image to be moved as a moving picture upon a display image displayed on a display means includes a drawing position specification means for specifying the current drawing position at which the image to be moved is to be drawn on the display screen, a past drawing position storage means for storing a prescribed number of past drawing positions where the image to be moved was drawn previously, an afterimage reducing region detection means for detecting the afterimage reducing region for the image to be moved, said region extending from the current drawing position to any one of the past drawing positions, an afterimage-reducing image drawing means for drawing an afterimage-reducing image in the afterimage reducing region, and an image-to-be-moved drawing means for drawing the image to be moved at the current drawing position.
