Abstract:
The device comprises a heating element connected to a voltage source and mounted inside a casing (1), that heating element being shaped as a rod (2) made of "selite" and connected to the voltage source by one of its ends (3) whereas another end is electrically connected to the casing (1). The device can be most successfully used for drying the casting moulds and cores made of compounds on the basis of binding thermosetting materials, as well as those moulds and cores which are made of liquid self-hardening casting materials, self-hardening moulding sands and moulding sands hardening when blown through with gaseous catalysts.
