Abstract:
A device for estimating the amount of data stored in a buffer in a reproducing section for reproducing streaming data delivered via an electric communication line to be the buffer size. The device comprises a predetermined information obtaining section for obtaining predetermined information at least on the above electric communication line and reproducing section, and a buffer size estimating section for estimating the size of the buffer in the reproducing section, based on the obtained predetermined information.
