Abstract:
The disclosed device for estimating the amount of heating of a battery for a power tool estimates the amount of heating of a battery that is the power source of a power tool. The device for estimating the amount of heating is provided with a computation means, and is provided to a device for a power tool. During one of either the time of discharge from the battery or the time of charging of the battery, the computation means periodically reads the detected current from a current detection means—which detects the current corresponding to the present point in time from among a discharge current and a charging current that flow in the battery—and adds/subtracts a value equivalent to the amount of heating in accordance with the detected current value that had been read. Then, the computation means outputs the added/subtracted value equivalent to the amount of heating as an estimated value representing the amount of heating of the battery.
