Abstract:
A device for estimating an axial misalignment amount, said device determining whether a first object detected by a beam sensor and a second object detected by an image sensor are the same object. If it has been determined that the first object and the second object are the same object, the device calculates, as the axial misalignment amount of the beam sensor, an angle formed by: a first line segment linking a prescribed reference position of the device itself and a first feature point of the first object; and a second line segment linking the prescribed reference position and a second feature point of the second object, said second feature point corresponding to the first feature point.
