Abstract:
The present invention relates to a device for examining platelets using targeted clogging, comprising: a sample chamber storing a blood sample therein; a microfluidic channel which is in communication with the sample chamber, and through which the blood sample flows; and a microbead packing part installed in the flow path of the blood sample in the microfluidic channel, the microbead packing part comprising a packing conduit forming a part of the flow path of the sample solution, and a plurality of microbeads accommodated in the packing conduit such that the microbeads are in close contact with each other, thereby forming voids therebetween, such that platelet function examination is possible by means of the clogging of the voids due to platelets in the blood sample flowing from the sample chamber through the microfluidic channel. Accordingly, in the platelet function examination using clogging, substantial clogging can occur even with a small amount of a blood sample. Further, the reliability of the platelet examination can be increased by allowing a space between channels through which platelets flow, particularly a gap in a region clogged due to the occurrence of platelet adhesion and aggregation, to be maintained the same across devices.
