Abstract:
A device for flow measurement by direct transmission and reception using ultrasonic waves according to the present invention is installed in a fluid transfer pipe through which a liquid or gas flows. The device comprises: a spool having, in the center of the body thereof, a main through hole into which the fluid transfer pipe can be inserted, and having holes for inserting an ultrasonic generation sensor and an ultrasonic reception sensor, the holes being formed, on respective sides of the main through hole, on an inclined line crossing the main through hole at a predetermined inclination angle; the ultrasonic generation sensor, which is inserted into the hole for inserting the ultrasonic generation sensor and generates ultrasonic waves; the ultrasonic reception sensor, which is inserted into the hole for inserting an ultrasonic reception sensor and receives the ultrasonic waves generated from the ultrasonic generation sensor; and a control unit which is electrically connected to each of the ultrasonic generation sensor and the ultrasonic reception sensor, and which transmits an ultrasonic generation command signal to the ultrasonic generation sensor and receives an ultrasonic signal received by the ultrasonic reception sensor, and thereby measures the flow velocity and flow rate of a fluid flowing inside the transfer pipe.
