Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for force simulation on an actuating element (3) of a vehicle, preferably a pedal simulator (2), which provides haptic feedback about a predefined force-path behavior, comprising a piston-cylinder unit (5, 14), wherein a piston (5) is connected to the actuating element (3) by way of a piston rod (4) that axially moves the piston (5) within the cylinder (14). In a device that gives the vehicle user the same feeling than a hydraulic clutch actuation unit would, a virtually round resistance element (15) projects into the cylinder (14), which sub-divides the cylinder into two cavities (16, 19), both of which are filled with a medium. The resistance element (15) has an opening (18) having a variable diameter, which changes, subject to an actuating speed of the actuating element (3), as a result of which the medium is pressed by the piston (5) from the first cavity (16) to the second cavity (17) at a variable volume.
