Abstract:
Disclosed is a device for forming bores and a method for forming bores by eyeless sewing needles wherein bores can be formed accurately by aligning the center of a needle material (1) with the optical axis (26a) of a laser beam accurately. The method for forming bores by eyeless sewing needles comprise steps for arranging a plurality of needle materials (1) in one row on a table (21), photographing the root end faces of the plurality of needle materials (1) by means of a camera (25), determining a needle material (1) which is to be used as a processing object from an image thus photographed and then determining the central position of the needle material, steps for aligning the optical axis (26a) of the laser beam from a laser oscillator (26) with the central position of the root end face of the needle material (1) which is to be used as a processing object and forming a bore (1c) of a predetermined depth by means of the laser beam, and steps for moving the plurality of needle materials subsequently, determining a needle material (1) which is to be used as the next processing object out of the plurality of needle materials from the images of the camera, determining the central position of the root end face from the image of the root end face of the needle material, and then aligning the optical axis of the laser beam from the laser oscillator with the central position of the root end face which is to be used as a processing object by moving the plurality of needle materials; and the device for forming bores.
