Abstract:
A device for forming a Thomson blade by punching, wherein a die section (38) which comprises several kinds of male dies (1) and female dies (2) is affixed to a base (18), cutouts (11) are formed in the male dies (1), and a lever section for a press section (37), said lever section comprising a lever (6), a pusher (20), and a lever movement base (21), is inserted sideways into the cutouts (11), and the movement of the lever (6) is transmitted to the male dies (1) to form perforating grooves, scribing grooves, or nicking grooves in the Thomson blade. The die section (38) is removably affixed. The dies and the machine structure can be easily mounted and removed by moving the press section (37), use a reduced number of parts, and can be installed in a reduced space. The size of debris created in punching operation is basically small, and the debris is removed by air pressure from an air blow hole (7).
