Abstract:
A device for generating sound to the outside of a vehicle is provided with a memory device (2-A) which stores determining conditions that contain descriptions of vehicle situations where travel areas are determined to be dangerous areas; and a navigation device (1-A) which obtains information showing vehicle situations. A comparison is made between the information obtained by the navigation device (1-A) and the determining conditions stored in the memory device (2-A), and it is determined whether the vehicle is traveling in a dangerous area. In a case where the vehicle is determined to be traveling in a dangerous area, the outputting of warning sound is not stopped even if a switch (4) for giving instructions to stop outputting warning sound is operated.
