Abstract:
In order to hold opened windows in an open position, use is made of a retaining device (16) which consists of a fixing plate (18) and a retaining arm (19). This retaining arm (19) can be pivoted and rotated about a vertical axis (23) and a horizontal axis (24) such that it can be brought into an operative position in which it surrounds the frame (20) of a window casement (2, 3), or it can be rotated and pivoted into a latching position in which it is arranged between the upper profile (22) of the window frame (10) and the underside (37) of window casements (2, 3) and is thus not visible at all. The fixing plate (18) is designed such that it can be clamped and secured in the upper profile (22) of the window frame (10), with the result that, in particular, a wobble-resistant held-open position of window casements (2, 3) can be achieved by the design of the retaining arm (19).
