Abstract:
A device for indirect-transpiration air cooling comprises a casing (1) with a bottom plate (2), a water distributor with channels (27) for water feeding, pumps (25, 26) for water circulation, inlet (3, 5) and outlet (6, 7) channels for the main and additional air flows, an inlet (11) and an outlet (12) forming sections for the additional air flow, a heat-mass-exchange unit with heat-exchanging elements consisting of flat tubes (9). The device is provided with an additional intake channel (4), for the transfer of the recycled air and a chamber (14) for mixing the recycled air with the outside air. The chamber (14) contains a shutter (15) mounted with the possibility of controlling the outside air and the recycled air flows. The water distributor is of slot-type construction and is mounted with the possibility of feeding the water on the external surfaces of the flat tubes (9) at their upper parts. The inlet (11) and the outlet (12) forming sections of the additional air flow are located, respectively, above and below the heat-mass-exchange unit.
