Abstract:
In order to inspect the quality of a drive mechanism for a vehicle seat more accurately without detecting the operational sound of the drive mechanism and thus distinguish between defective and non-defective products more accurately, a vibration sensor (2) is attached to a predetermined measurement point of a power unit for an electric power seat, and the presence/absence of abnormal sounds is determined by analyzing the vibrational waveform of the vibration sensor (2). Preferably, the presence/absence of abnormal sounds is detected by analyzing the frequency of the vibrational waveform, which is the detected signal, and determining the presence/absence of the superposition of irregular vibrations. Thus, in a technique for inspecting the quality of a drive mechanism, such as a power unit, for an electric power seat by employing the presence/absence of abnormal sounds, determination can be made more accurately and easily compared to conventional art even without a soundproofing environment.
