Abstract:
A device for light-beam working of materials consists of a light source (5) and an energy concentrator (1) which comprises a hollow reflective element, the reflective surfaces of which are formed of a basic ellipsoid (2), an additional ellipsoid (3) and, between them, an annular spherical return reflector (4). The ellipsoids (2, 3) and the sphere (4) are confocal. The annular element (4) is connected with the basic ellipsoid by its large diameter and with the additional ellipsoid by its small diameter, and said light source (5) is located at the common focal point of the three surfaces. The energy concentrator (1) is made from aluminium alloy and has a polished internal reflective surface.
