Abstract:
A device management apparatus extracts, as an area condition, a search condition related to space or temporal space from a device search request from a user, generates a query that includes the area condition, and sends the query to a plurality of devices over a network. Each device determines whether its coverage area matches the area condition specified in the query and returns a response to the query to the device management apparatus if it is determined that there is a match. The device management apparatus generates a device search result corresponding to the device search request on the basis of the response sent from the device and presents the device search result to the user.
