Abstract:
A device (101) for managing loss of refractory material in electric furnaces derives the relationship between time and thermal flux of a furnace wall inner face (5a) by analyzing the unsteady heat transfer inverse problem on the basis of the temperature measured by thermocouples 6a – 6i at each temperature sampling time, and, from the result of the derivation, derives and outputs a time integral value for the thermal flux in a period corresponding to one operation.
