Abstract:
A device for manufacturing an absorptive article, configured so that, while conveying a workpiece relating to the absorptive article in the conveyance direction, the device works the workpiece and subjects the workpiece to the discharge of an adhesive agent to thereby manufacture the absorptive article. The device comprises: a first reference signal output section for outputting a first reference signal representing the amount of conveyance of the workpiece; a second reference signal output section for outputting a second reference signal representing the amount of conveyance of the workpiece; a working device for working the workpiece on the basis of a drive signal; an adhesive agent discharge device for discharging the adhesive agent toward the workpiece on the basis of a discharge signal; and a controller for generating the drive signal and the discharge signal. In manufacturing the absorptive article, the controller generates the drive signal on the basis of the first reference signal outputted from the first reference signal output section and outputs the drive signal to the working device, and the controller also generates the discharge signal on the basis of the first reference signal and outputs the discharge signal to the adhesive agent discharge device. In testing the amount of discharge of the adhesive agent from the adhesive agent discharge device, the controller generates the discharge signal on the basis of the second reference signal outputted from the second reference signal output section and outputs the discharge signal to the adhesive agent discharge device, and the controller does not output the drive signal to the working device.
