Abstract:
Provided is a cardiac function measurement and evaluation device which, from thoracic impedance data and ECG data, measures and evaluates cardiac function in patients with atrial fibrillation, sinus arrhythmia, etc. A two-dimensional scatter plot is created from (dZ/dt)min values obtained by thoracic impedance measurement and from preceding R-R intervals (RR1) corresponding to said values and this facilitates visual evaluation of the state of cardiac function in patients with atrial fibrillation or sinus arrhythmia. In this measurement and evaluation device, testing can be easily repeated without minimal physical burden on patients, making it possible to provide information invaluable for the objective diagnosis of heart disease and selection of therapeutic drugs.
