Provided is a device, a system, and a recording medium capable of easily measuring a color difference between an average color value of a target object and a color value of a comparison target. The device includes: an image acquiring unit that acquires image data of an image shot of a target object; a region selecting unit that selects a prescribed image region on the target object within the image; an average value calculating unit that calculates an average color value from color values of the image data, the average color value being an average of the color values in the image region; a color difference calculating unit that calculates a color difference between the average color value and a color value of a comparison target in the same color space as the average color value; and an outputting unit that outputs information regarding the color difference.
