Abstract:
Disclosed is a device for measuring a friction coefficient of a butterfly-shaped optical cable, which comprises a friction coefficient test bench, an electronic universal testing machine (7), a computer terminal and an electronic balance, wherein the friction coefficient test bench comprises a base (6) with a height adjusting knob, a covering plate (2) and a base plate (4), which are placed one above the other and are parallel to each other, being provided above the base (6); and the electronic universal testing machine (7) is provided with a tension arm and a pulley bracket (10) mounted with a stationary pulley (9), and one end of the tension arm is mounted with a clamp (8). The measurement method comprises the steps of: cutting out small segments of the tested optical cable having the same length, closely arranging strong double-sided adhesive tapes which are adhered onto the covering plate (2) and the base plate (4), and making the base plate (4) and a lower edge of the stationary pulley (9) be horizontal; taking a big segment of tested optical cable (3) to be fixed; and turning on a switch of the electronic universal testing machine (7) to start the test. The device can simplify manual operations, improve the test efficiency, and measure and find data of the friction coefficient in time at the initial stage of the production or experiment, so as to reduce the waste of raw materials in the subsequent production line, and furthermore personal and device errors are reduced to a maximum extent, thereby effectively guaranteeing the accuracy and reliability of the product testing result.
