Description:
"Device for measuring the respiratory act".

Field of the invention.

The invention refers to a device for measuring the respiratory act and, based on this and other measurements, establishing the state of health of the person in examination. The device, combined with an automated door, grants or denies entrance to a room on the basis of the health conditions of the examined person, without any physical contact with the body of the person and without performing any chemical and/or biological tests.

State of the art.

In the art different devices are known able to test the respiratory act of a person, as for example the documents WO2011132118, WO2019145580, US20100152560, US5088501, US10172592 and US20200329976, these devices registered the respiratory act of a person using different systems. Also the document FR2398483 is known, wherein a device for sanitary controls is described, but this device does not provide the examination of the respiratory act at a distance and without contacts. These measurements, however, are not arranged to detect the health state of the person before entering into a room.

Summary of the invention.

Aim of the present invention is to establish the health state of a person before entering in a closed room or into a place with particular necessities of sterilized rooms, such as hospitals, operating rooms, nursing homes, homes for elderly, infectious disease departments in hospitals and also for airports, factories or public places wherein there is a risk of viruses and/or bacteria contamination. Another aim of the invention is to verify the health conditions of a person based on the respiratory act and other variabilities. With the invented device the measurements needed to check that there are no ongoing infections, are actuated without any physical contact with the person in check. In the art are known realizations that perform tests on the respiratory act to see if viruses are present in the respiratory system, but these systems always require physical contact with an operator and the use of a cannula or a similar item, to direct the breath into the device that measures it. The invented device, instead, avoids contacts both with physical means and with other people, giving a undoubted advantage to avoid the diffusion of viruses and/or bacteria. Another advantages of the invention is given by the fact it can arrange said measurements in a quick way, without long waiting times for the results, as happens in the case of chemical and/or biological analyzes. Further advantage is given by an easy and economical availability of the means for the evaluation of a person with viruses and/or bacteria, that consist in sensors and lasers without use of reagents, using means to be reused for each test and so without any disposal problem. Further advantage is given by a large scale use of the invented device for fast controls anywhere there is the need for controls on the health state of the entering person, without violating any privacy right. The invented device permits the measurement of the respiratory act using electrical components to detect the peaks and the frequency of the respiratory act of a person and its body temperature, with other electrical means that read the height, the weight and the temperature of the person in check, so to catalogue a category of persons whose, on different age, have different respiratory act frequencies in order to calibrate the device for the measuring of the respiratory act in the appropriate points of the body. The invented device is to be used in industrial field to identify the characteristics of the respiratory act in people with pulmonary pathologies of viral and bacterial origin, positive to COVID-19 or similar infections, and arranges measurements able to detect also the asymptomatic since it detects differences in the respiratory act. It happens, in fact, that the people, including the asymptomatic, have an inflammatory stage of the lung alveoli. Consequently the lung inflammatory reduces the breathing capacity and alters the regularity of the respiratory act. The invented device detects these differences of the respiratory act, combines other measurements, such as feverish conditions or altered temperature, with a centering system that detects the height of the person to be checked to have a correct pointing of the device that detects the respiratory act in at least two point of the body and the head for body temperature. The measuring of the height is also a discriminating value to establish the age range of the controlled person, because different ages correspond to different respiratory act frequencies. The invented device also requires the use of an anonymous card with radio-frequency control to regulate and register the entries. These and other aims and advantages of the invented device are more evident in the following detailed description of a preferred embodiment but not exclusive, embodiment of the product, with reference to the e attached drawings, wherein the invention is illustrated in a merely indicative, so not limiting, way.

Brief description of the drawings.

Figure 1 is perspective view of a door with sensors for the detection of the respiratory act of a person, of its body temperature, of its weight and of its height. Figure 2 is another perspective view of a door according to the invented device. Figure 3 is view of the flowchart for use in an entrance on the base of the invented device, with opening or not of the door in based on the health state of the person.

Detailed description.

In a preferred embodiment but not limiting the invented device for the measuring of respiratory act consists of a pointing system 1, at least two lasers 2 for the detection of the respiratory act, sensors 3 for the detection of the presence of a person into the cabin 10, sensors 4 to detect the temperature of the person inside the cabin and in front of the device, lasers 5 to detect the height of the person, sensors 6 to detect the weight of the person and sensors 7 to identify the person inside the cabin. The pointing system 1 requires a support frame 8 for the sensors and the lasers, with electrical connections and with the frame equipped with an electrical motor 9 to change the height of the frame that houses the sensors and to be able to pint the lasers 2 for the detection of the respiratory act at shoulder height and at the height of the abdomen. The pointing system 1 also detects the location of the head in order to measure the temperature of the person inside the cabin 10. The frame 8 and the electrical motor 9 slide onto a vertical box-like structure 11 with moving means 12 to move the lasers and the sensors in relation to the height of the person to be detected. The electric motor 9 is, for example, a stepper motor. The presence sensor 3 is preferably an infrared motion detector. The sensor 4 for the detection of the temperature is, for example, an infrared thermal sensor. The laser for height detection is preferably an infrared laser. The lasers 2 for the respiratory act detection are preferably HG-C lasers and, by the pointing system, they detect the movement of the rib cage by measuring near a shoulder and at the abdomen of the person to be controlled. The invented device is also equipped with a RFID reader 13, i.e. a radio frequency pass reader. The sensors, the lasers and the radio frequency pass reader are connected to a logical unit 14 with electrical connections to be set up by a technician of the field of average capacities. The logical unit 14 is connected to a a memory drive 15 wherein are registered respiratory acts with different pathologies and respiratory acts without pathologies, with the data referring to the respiratory act stated in relation to the age of the people checked, wherein the age is approximatively deduced from the height and the weight of the person checked by sensors 6 and laser 5. In the operating phase the person, to be able to enter the area beyond the cabin, brings a badge/pass, i.e. a and ID or a temporary access card, and enters the cabin putting the badge/pass onto the RFID reader 13 according to the directions. The invention device stores the ID code of the person. The sensor 3 for the detecting of the person starts the invented device. In sequence the temperature sensor 4 is started. If the detected temperature is higher or equal to thirty seven point five degrees Celsius the invented device immediately denies access and the person inside the cabin 10 is invited to exit with appropriate visual and acoustics warnings. If the detected temperature is lower than that permitted to avoid the entrance of people with lung infections, the height is measured with the lasers 5, the weight is detected by the sensors 6 and the pointing system 1 is started onto the body of the person in order to place the lasers for the detecting the respiration act at the necessary height. The data is then processed in the logical unit 14 and compared with those found in the storage unit 15, with entry permitted or denied depending on whether the respiratory act is normal or not. The invented device is open to a lot of modifications and variations, all part of the inventive object. Every detail can be changed with technically equivalent alternatives without exiting to the protection field of the enclosed claims. The flowchart presents in the drawings is completed with the under cited instructions.
