Abstract:
Disclosed is a device for measuring sound source distribution in three-dimensional space, wherein a two-dimensional laser sheet (Ls) is directed within an x-y plane onto tracer particles contained in a steady flow flowing around a body (12) at two time points having a very small time separation. An image of the illuminated tracer particles is captured by image capturing means (32A, 32B) from two intersecting directions in the laser sheet (Ls). Two components of in-plane speed of the tracer particles within the laser sheet (Ls) and one component of out-of-plane speed orthogonal to the laser sheet (Ls) are measured in accordance with the images obtained at the two time points. Furthermore, the three speed components are acquired in a plurality of planes separated in the z axis direction orthogonal to the laser sheet (Ls), and the velocity field of the three speed components in three-dimensional space is measured by overlaying in the z axis direction the three speed components that are in the plurality of planes. As a result, a sound source distribution measuring means measures the sound source distribution around the body (12) from the velocity field of the three three-dimensional speed components in accordance with the Proudman theorem, and the sound distribution in three-dimensional space can therefore be accurately measured.
