Abstract:
The present invention relates to a device for measuring the speed of a steel plate, and more particularly, to a device for measuring the speed of a steel plate moving between rolling stands in a rolling process and a device for controlling a rolling speed using the same. The device for measuring the speed of a steel plate according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a light emitting unit attached to a roll of a looper controlling the tension of a steel plate which passes between the rolling stands and emitting light while rotating together with the roll of the looper, and a light receiving unit for sensing the light emitted from the light emitting unit and generating a pulse signal.
