Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for measuring ultraviolet rays, comprising a housing (12, 13, 14) wherein a sensor (3) is arranged and is connected to an upstream filter. Said filter is permeable to ultraviolet radiation and is impermeable for radiation having a different wavelength. The sensor (3) is, therefore, only impinged upon by ultraviolet radiation which is to be measured. The sensor (3) converts the radiant intensity of the ultraviolet rays into electric energy. The device comprises a dome (1) which is transparent with respect to radiation and a diffuser (2) which is arranged downstream from the dome (1). The sensor (3) is disposed behind the diffuser and comprises an active area of approximately 0.005 mm<2> - approximately 0.3 mm<2>, preferably of approximately 0.01 mm<2> - approximately 0.055 mm<2>.
