Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a device for methane synthesis which as a whole has a reduced size and a simplified structure. The device 100 for methane synthesis is constituted of components ranging from a left-side end plate 2 to a right-side end plate 23. These components can be compactly assembled by using a plurality of bolts and nuts to bring the components into close contact with each other and tightly unit the components. These components can be divided into a Sabatier reaction part constituted of components 3 to 9, a water electrolysis part constituted of components 13 to 19, and the other components. Hydrogen gas evolved in the water electrolysis part is mixed with carbon dioxide gas and supplied to the Sabatier reaction part, where methane is synthesized. Since the water electrolysis part, the Sabatier reaction part, a carbon dioxide supply part, and a hydrogen gas supply part have been stacked and united together, the device as a whole has a reduced size and a simplified structure.
