Abstract:
Provided are a device and a method for acquiring the depth of a space by using a camera. A method for acquiring the depth of a feature area by a device by using a camera module comprises the steps of: acquiring multiple images by capturing, while sequentially rotating the camera module at a pre-configured angle, images around the camera multiple times; comparing images adjacent to each other between a first image and an n-th image among the multiple images to identify a first feature area within the first image and an n-th feature area within the n-th image, wherein the n-th feature area is identical to the first feature area; acquiring a base line value of each of the first image and the n-th image; acquiring a disparity value between the first feature area and the n-th feature area; and calculating the depth of the first feature area or the n-th feature area on the basis of the base line value and the disparity value.
