Title:
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR APPLYING A TAPE UNWOUND FROM A DISPENSER ROLLER, ESPECIALLY AN ADHESIVE TAPE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO2003072473
Kind Code:
A8
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for applying a tape unwound from a dispenser roller, especially an adhesive tape, to a surface (3) to be covered. The inventive device comprises an applicator head (2) that performs a movement relative to the surface (3) when the tape (1) is applied to the surface (3), a plurality of guide rollers (5, 6, 7) on/in the applicator head (2) that feed the tape (1) in a guided manner to a pressing roller (10) of the applicator head (2), and a control circuit for rolling off the tape (1) from the dispenser roller in a controlled manner and for guiding the tape (1) inside the applicator head (2). Inside the applicator head (2) a transport roller (8) is disposed that is associated with a counter roller (9) for the purpose of transport and traction of the tape (1), the tape (1) extending between the transport roller (8) and the counter roller (9) in a clamped manner. The transport roller (8) and the pressing roller (10) are driven in such a manner that the pressing roller (10) has at least temporarily a higher peripheral speed than the transport roller (8).
