Abstract:
By means of a multi-stage active sludge method that uses the feeding effect of microorganisms, when performing a high load process of a CODCr volume load of at least 1.0 kg/m3/d or a BOD volume load of at least 0.5 kg/m3/d, the proliferation of agglutination feeding microorganisms that cause a deterioration of processed water quality is suppressed and filter feeding microorganisms are actively prioritized, aiming to increase the processing efficiency and processed water quality and to reduce the volume of sludge. Organic wastewater is introduced to a first biological treatment tank (1) and is biologically treated by bacteria; first biologically treated water containing bacteria in a dispersed state from the first biological treatment tank (1) is passed to a second biological treatment tank (2), obtaining second biologically treated water; the second biologically treated water is subjected to solid/liquid separation at a settling tank (3); and the separated water is returned to the second biological treatment tank (2). A microfauna hold-back carrier (22) is provided to the second biological treatment tank (2).
