Abstract:

A system for calculating a required quantity of material improved in the processing speed by uniforming a load generated in calculation and eliminating overhead as much as possible. The system is provided with a plurality of required material quantity plan (MRP) calculating sections (10-1, 10-2, ...) laid out in parallel for calculating the type of items required for producing a product, the quantity of the items, and the delivery date of the items on the basis of a production plan of a product. Of these MRP calculating sections, a certain MRP calculating section (10-1) calculates the net required quantity of a certain item and provides the calculated net required quantity to the other MRP calculating sections (10-2, ...), which in turn carry out expanded calculation of allocated sub-items, respectively, from among a plurality of sub-items constituting the item, extensively in parallel on the basis of the net required quantity of the item.
