Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a 5th generation (5G) or pre-5G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate beyond a 4th generation (4G) communication system such as long term evolution (LTE). The present disclosure relates to an electronic device for controlling a base station antenna in a wireless communication system, the electronic device comprising: a communication unit; and at least one control unit electrically connected to the communication unit, wherein the at least one control unit may be configured so as to acquire location information of another electronic device, determine a threshold value on the basis of the location information, determine a radiation angle corresponding to the threshold value, transmit a steering instruction to a base station so as to control an antenna on the basis of the radiation angle, and determine whether the steering of the antenna on the basis of the radiation angle has been carried out or not.
