Abstract:
A continuously variable transmission (2) includes a torque converter (3) with a lock-up clutch (30), and a continuously variable transmission mechanism (5). A control unit (10) is provided with a transmission control means (10C) capable of carrying out pseudo-stepped upshift control that changes a transmission ratio in steps, a lock-up control means (10A) that controls an engaged state of a lock-up clutch (30), and a torque control command means (10D) that sends a torque-down command to a drive source (1). When fastening control of the lock-up clutch (30) and pseudo-stepped upshift control are carried out simultaneously, the torque control command means (10D) sends a torque-down command indicating a large amount of torque reduction.
