Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of more definitively minimizing the occurrence of dazzling, with a device for controlling the illumination range of vehicle headlights. This device obtains information pertaining to a region which sets the position of a light source of another vehicle as a reference, and is an exclusion region to be excluded from the illumination range. The light source of the other vehicle is detected in a captured image taken in the direction of vehicle advancement. The illumination range of the headlights is set in a manner such that the exclusion region is removed from the headlight illumination range, on the basis of the position of the light source of the other vehicle in the captured image.
