Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] To provide a cutting device capable of immediately stopping cutting operation without performing unnecessary cutting to a ceramic block even if a cutting blade is moved continuously by inertia. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] This cutting device comprises a table (1) for placing the ceramic green block (W) thereon, a table drive means (2) horizontally driving the table (1) so that the ceramic green block comes to a prescribed cut position, a cutter block (10) having a cutting blade (13) for pressingly cutting the ceramic green block and a cutting blade lifting means (12) for vertically reciprocating the cutting blade, and a cutter block lifting means (20) for vertically driving the cutter block. When the cutting operation must be interrupted, the cutting blade lifting means (12) is stopped and, at the same time, the cutter block (10) is raised to prevent the ceramic block from being unnecessarily cut by the cutting blade (13).
