Abstract:
A device and method for detecting an abnormal traffic event. According to the device and method, by means of respectively setting a detection function for at least two pre-determined regions in an input image (1601), respectively extracting a motion foreground and/or a legacy foreground in various pre-determined regions according to the set detection function (1602), and processing same to obtain a detection result corresponding to the set detection function (1603), different detection functions may be implemented with regard to different regions, thereby providing diversified services. In addition, since performing corresponding extraction and processing in various regions according to set functions can effectively reduce the amount of computations, the requirements for real-time detection can be satisfied.
