The present invention discloses a method for displaying an extension point in a page, and relates to the technical field of computers. The method comprises: when displaying a page, determining a placeholder of an extension point in the source code of the page; determining corresponding position information of the extension point in the page according to the placeholder of the extension point; and displaying a visual tag of the extension point in the page according to the position information. When performing extension of page elements, the position of an extension point in the page can be directly determined simply on the basis of the extension point identifier in the page. Thus, when searching for the position of an extension point in a page, a webpage manager is not required to determine the code segment corresponding to an extension point in the page from the baseline webpage source code according to a custom manual, nor is the webpage manager required to backtrack one layer after another according to layer relations and code nesting relations, thereby eliminating the issue of complex manual searching steps and enhancing the effectiveness of webpage expansion.
