Abstract:
A device and a method for extracting an unfinished shape allowing a safe and efficient finishing process design by extracting the unfinished shape without generating a finishing route and three-dimensionally visualizing the unfinished shape, the device (1) comprising a displacement part (2) for displacing a finishing tool on the surface of a three-dimensional product shape model at any position without causing an interference of the product shape model with the finishing tool, a detection part (3) for detecting a distance between the any position and the finishing tool, and a preparation part (4) for preparing the three-dimensional unfinished shape by using the minimum value of the distance obtained for each point on the surface of the shape model when the any point is moved.
