Description:
A DEVICE AND METHOD FOR EXTRACTING WATERMELON JUICE

WITHOUT ANY CUTTING

FIELD

[0001] Current invention is a device and a preparation and evacuating method of watermelon juice without shearing or cutting it into small pieces.

BACKGROUND

[0002] There are various dewatering devices and methods for extracting juice from fruits and vegetables, which can also be used for providing watermelon juice. To produce watermelon juice, first of all, watermelon must be cut into several small pieces, then peeled and finally put small peeled pieces into juicer.

[0003] This method is time-consuming, laborious and often rather unhygienic. In addition, most of watermelon seeds are crushed into tiny pieces during juicing process and this causes an unwanted change in real taste of the produced watermelon juice.

[0004] Furthermore, using current methods and apparatuses for producing watermelon juice in large amount in coffee shops, restaurants, hotels, and even commercial production, needs more staff and adds extra costs in production.

[0005] In US9016195B invention, pieces of watermelon are extracted from the watermelon rind as concentrate, but also in this method watermelon must be cut into small pieces.

SUMMARY

[0006] Current invention is a production method for producing watermelon juice, without slicing watermelon into small pieces and with minimum work.

[0007] In this approach, a chained-drill is used for extracting watermelon. The chained-drill is entered from the top of the watermelon. A connected electromotor spins the chained-drill which extracts juice and pieces of watermelon from the hole in the bottom of the watermelon that is over an ordinary juicer. [0008] In another aspect, current invention is a watermelon juicer which consists of a square plate, telescopic shaft, geared electromotor with adjustable speed, chained- drill, funnel-shaped bowl, ordinary juicer, adjustable clamps, fasten rod, and power box.

[0009] These items and other specifications, benefits and components of the invention are understandable for experts in this field and they can refer to the description and plan of the invention to find relevant information.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0010] For better understanding of the invention, related plans of the apparatus and juicer method are provided in the following figures;

[0011] FIG. 1 is a cross-section of entered chained-drill into the watermelon, filtration and evacuation through ordinary juicer;

[0012] FIG. 2 is side view of chained-drill including shaft axis of drill, rectangular plate with a central hole, annular chains and a conical tip as the head of drill;

[0013] FIG. 3 is full view of the device from left and right sides including a square plate, telescopic shaft, geared electromotor with adjustable speed, chained-drill, funnel-shaped bowl, ordinary juicer, adjustable clamps and power box;

[0014] FIG. 4 is power plan of the apparatus.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[0015] Overall procedure for juicing watermelon by using a chained-drill is shown in FIG. 1. A geared electromotor 2 applies a rotational force to the connected chained-drill 4 with a frequency range from 100 to 200 round per minute vertically. The conical head goes through from the top of watermelon 9 which is fixed above a funnel- shaped bowl 10 goes straight through the watermelon, then punctures the bottom of the fruit and reaches close to the funnel-shaped bowl. Then the drill moves back into the watermelon and with a higher frequency, 400-600 round per minute, continues spinning. This nearly fast rotational motion extracts the pulpy pieces out of watermelon from the bottom of the watermelon and moves toward funnel-shaped bowl and then goes to container 19, where the seeds are separated from the pulps and juice of watermelon 20. Finally, filtered juice is sent to drain tank 13. [0016] In FIG. 2 a schematic of chained-drill is shown. It includes rod axis of drill 4, rectangular plate with two rows of holes 16, annular chains 17, and a conical head as the head of drill 18. The drill is connected to the geared electromotor by rod axis. Chained-drill is the most important component of this Invention and must be designed in a way that can extract the juice out of spherical or oval shape of watermelons without damaging its skin.

[0017] The shape of chains and their lengths 17 creates a circular arc simultaneously inside watermelon during spinning and covers the whole space inside, extracting watermelon from its skin. There are three different sizes of chains for juicing small, medium and large watermelons.

[0018] FIG. 3 shows a complete watermelon juicer with all related parts, which includes: a worktable 15, a squared plate 14, a telescopic shaft with a fixed column 8 and a moving pillar 5, tuneable geared electromotor 1, base plate of the electromotor 3, gearbox 2, chained-drill 4,16,17,18, funnel-shaped bowl 10, guiding rod 6, guiding clamps 7, on/off keys 11, power box 12.

[0019] Sizes of square plate 14 should support the stability of upper parts of device. On the base of square plate, telescopic shaft is installed for fixing electromotor and adjusting its height. The telescopic shaft includes a fixed column 8 and a moving pillar 5 which is used for balancing the top section. Fixed column is like cylindrical shell and moving pillar moves vertically through it. Perpendicular to the end of moving pillar, there is a metal plate 3 with the size of geared electromotor 1, as its base is fixed. The adjusting rod 6 is also fastened there.

[0020] Tunable geared electromotor 2 is set on top end of the shaft 3. It converts transverse rotational force to the longitudinal rotational force. The speed of the chained- drill can be controlled by the adjusting keys of the electromotor. Chained-drill 4,16,17,18 is connected to the geared electromotor from shaft axis of the drill. The adjusting rod, which is fixed behind the telescopic shaft and parallel to the chained-drill, controls the motion of chained drill and prevents touching between chained-drill and funnel-shaped bowl. To stabilize the correct movement of adjusting rod, there is a metallic annular fastener 7 at the top end of fixed shaft 8. Using this fastener, the guide bar 6 moves simultaneously with the moving pillar 5 up and down on a fixed direction. [0021] Funnel-shaped bowl 10 is set above an ordinary juicer 13, 19, 20. Diameter and height of the outlet port of the funnel-shaped bowl has to be larger than length and width of the conical tip at the head of the drill 18 to avoid collision between conical tip and the funnel-shaped bowl 10, when the tip digs a hole through the bottom of the watermelon.

[0022] The ordinary juicer includes filter 19, storage tank 13, and a drain tank 20. Extracted water and pulps from the watermelon goes through the filter and enters into the storage tank then exits the drain tank.

[0023] To keep the watermelon fixed during the process of juicing, an elastic belt or a brace can be used.

[0024] The map of power of the apparatus includes a power box 12 and triple keys 21 are shown in FIG. 4 Power box is set behind the fixed part of telescopic shaft. On/off keys and low/high speed keys are designed on it. Changing between low and high speeds is done by an inverter 22 which is located inside the power box.
