Abstract:
The present invention provides a novel technology for producing droplets. Provided is a device equipped with a droplet production part that is provided with: an orifice through which liquid is discharged in a columnar shape; an electrode disposed in the vicinity of said orifice; and a voltage application unit for periodically applying a voltage between the columnar-shaped liquid and the electrode. Also provided is a method that comprises a droplet production step for producing droplets by periodically applying a voltage between the columnar-shaped liquid discharged from the orifice and an electrode disposed in the vicinity of said orifice. Further provided is a fine particle separation system that comprises the aforementioned device.
