Abstract:

The present disclosure relates to a 5th generation (5G) or pre-5G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate than a beyond-4th generation (4G) communication system such as long-term evolution (LTE). According to various embodiments, a method performed by a distributed unit (DU) may comprise the steps of: generating configuration information for packets used for uplink data transmission of a plurality of radio units (RUs) for providing a shared cell; and transmitting the configuration information for the packets to a radio unit (RU) among the plurality of RUs through a fronthaul interface, wherein the configuration information for the packets may include information for indicating the number of physical resource blocks (PRBs) per packet for the uplink packets.
