Abstract:
The present invention discloses a device and method for implementing clock transparent transmission. The device comprises: a clock module, a data identification module and a data modification module, wherein the clock module thereof connected with the data identification module and the data modification module respectively provides the clock information for the data identification module and the data modification module; the data identification module thereof receives the data and obtains the current time information from the clock module; and the data modification module thereof connected with the data identification module, according to the output direction of data, adds positive value or negative value of the current time information to the time information in the data and outputs the cumulate time information and the data together. With the present invention, the information of residence time of the data in the switch node is obtained by the hardware device, and the time information in the data is modified according to the information of residence time. Thereby the clock transparent transmission for the data is implemented efficiently, the precision of the obtained information of residence time is high and the obtaining way is steady.
