Abstract:
An inspection device for inspecting a cigarette (FT) with a filter having a row of outside air-introducing perforations (6) in the outer periphery of a filter (4) has a filter socket assembly (86) and a pressure sensor. The filter socket assembly (86) includes a ring holder (124) capable of receiving the filter (4) and defining in its inside an end room for surrounding the mouthpiece end of the filter (4) and a surrounding room for surrounding the outer periphery of the filter (4) including the row of perforations (6), a guide pipe (102) for feeding a compressed fluid with a predetermined pressure into the surrounding room of the ring holder (124), and a guide pipe (100) for outputting a pressure in the end room. The pressure sensor detects the pressure outputted from the guide pipe (100).
