Abstract:
The invention relates to a device and method intended to measure the properties of a complex medium (2) by analysing the variation in light backscattered by this complex medium (2) after a prior stirring step. For this purpose, the device and the method according to the invention, moreover in accordance with the generic definition thereof that the above preamble gives, is essentially characterized in that it comprises movement means (14) capable of subjecting said receiving means (6) to a stirring movement comprising at least a back-and-forth movement along a directional vector extending by a not insignificant amount along the longitudinal direction, so as to generate shear stresses in the complex medium (2), thereby destroying aggregates in said complex medium (2) when a container (4) is received and supported by the receiving means (6).
