Abstract:
It is possible to provide a device to be built in a biometric authentication device for judging an electrostatic capacity to be authenticated which can judge an electrostatic capacity to be authenticated with a simple configuration. The device for judging an electrostatic capacity to be authenticated judges a pulse width of a biometric capacity pulse having a pulse width corresponding to an electrostatic capacity of an authentication object as a part of a living body placed between electrodes generated by a biometric capacity pulse output unit, by using a first judgment pulse and a second judgment pulse. The first judgment pulse is outputted with a predetermined delay from the biometric capacity pulse and the second judgment pulse is outputted with a delay larger than the predetermined delay.
