Abstract:
A disclosed embodiment provides a device and a method for optimizing an MUAV trajectory, in which: an obstacle model is generated on the basis of information collected for an obstacle located between a ground terminal (hereinafter, GT) and a high-altitude platform station (hereinafter, HAPS), and a shaded area and a relayable area are determined by the obstacle model; an optimal azimuth of an MUAV which relays FSO communication between the GT and the HAPS is determined on the basis of a relative position of the center of the obstacle model with respect to the GT; and an optimal trajectory of the MUAV is determined by calculating an optimal altitude of the MUAV, which minimizes a probability of FSO communication interruption at the optimal azimuth in the relayable area, so that, in consideration of the shaded area caused by the moving obstacle such as clouds, the relay UAV for relaying an optical communication link can avoid the obstacle, optimize a trajectory in three dimensions so as to continuously secure a LoS between the GT and the HAPS, and reduce energy consumption of the UAV.
