Abstract:
The present invention relates to a device and a method for playing media data and, more specifically, to a device and a method for playing media data, which: extract color data (color, quantity of light, and the like) from an image (photo or video) photographed through a photographing device such as a mobile device and a webcam, or from a photo directly received from a user; automatically determine and play melody data and tempo data (sound source) associated with the extracted color data; and measure an electromyogram of a user, and allow various sound effects to be additionally played according to a change of action potential of muscles such that a visual impression which is to be indicated by color of an image is capable of being clearly transferred through auditory information.
